The Noordbrabants Museum acquires third Van Gogh in three years

Vincent Van Gogh's still life comes to Den‑Bosch

A few days ago, the Noordbrabants Museum in Den Bosch acquired the painting Still life with Bottles and Shell. Dated 1884, this piece by Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890) was until now part of an overseas private collection. Following the watercolour Garden of the vicarage at Nuenen (in 2016) and the painting Watermill at Kollen (in 2017), this represents the third Van Gogh piece that the museum has acquired in as many years. The artwork was purchased at a price of 2.5 million Euros.
