What are the precautionary measures regarding the coronavirus?
The museum follows the precautionary measures imposed by the government, the RIVM and the regulations of the Museums Association. Click here for a current overview of the measures.

Do I need to wear a face mask?
No, wearing a mask during your visit to the museum is not mandatory. But it is allowed.

Are additional hygiene measures taken?
Yes, the museum is cleaned extra during opening hours. With special attention to contact points, such as banisters and door handles.

Het Noordbrabants Museum follows the precautionary measures imposed by the government and the RIVM. We ask our visitors to follow these as well: wash your hands as often as possible, cough and sneeze into your elbow, avoid shaking hands and keep appropriate distance from people who do not belong to your own household.

Can I eat or drink in the museum?
No, unfortunately you can't eat or drink in the museum. You can eat or drink in the MuseumBrasserie (restaurant). You need the CoronaCheck app with a valid QR-code.

Do you have an audio tour?
Sure! Download the audio tour on your phone via hnbm.uwmuseumgids.nl. The tour (with lots of extra background information) can be seen and listened to for free during and after your visit. Tip: bring your earplugs to the museum.

Yes, the Netherlands Museum Pass is valid in Het Noordbrabants Museum.

What are the opening hours of the museum restaurant?
The MuseumBrasserie is open from 11 till 17. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.

Is there a museum shop?
Yes, there is. The MuseumShop is situated near the entrance of the Design Museum Den Bosch. In the shop you will find catalogues, postcards and modern design. The shop has the same opening hours as the museum and is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.

Can I buy gift cards?
It's not possible to buy gift cards for the MuseumShop or online ticketshop.

Which payment methods can I use in the museum?
Payments can be done by pin or contactless with your bank card, telephone or wearable. This also applies to the MuseumShop and museum restaurant.

Is there a (secure) cloakroom?
Yes, there is a free-of-charge secure cloakroom in the form of lockers. Coats and any bags larger than A4 format must be deposited here.

Can baby carriers, buggies and prams be taken into the museum?
Yes, prams and buggies are allowed. Baby carriers also, if worn on the stomach.

What items will I need to hand over before entering?
It is not permitted to enter with a kick scooter, skates, skateboards, Nordic walking poles, selfie sticks, tripods or balloons. These will need to be left behind at the secure cloakroom.

What are the facilities for visitors with a physical disability?
The museum has disabled toilets and lifts that are suitable for wheelchairs so that all museum rooms are accessible. The museum is wheelchair friendly. We can also lend wheelchairs and walking sticks. Need help? Our employees are ready for you! With a disabled parking card you park in the Verwersstraat right in front of the entrance of the museum (1 parking space), or 200 meters further on at the Parade (6 parking spaces).

Can I visit the museum with accompanying?
Of course. Entrance is free for accompanying persons. Do you book tickets in advance in the ticket shop? At accompanying you select the option Free entrance in combination with other valid ticket.

Can I enter with my mobility scooter?
Unfortunately it is not possible to visit the museum with a mobility scooter.

Are guide dogs allowed in the museum?
Yes, seeing-eye dogs and SOHO-dogs are most welcome in our museum.

Do you work together with the MuseumPlusBus?
Yes! The MuseumPlusBus – an initiative of 14 museums and the VriendenLoterij – a group of seniors (70 years and older) drives to one of the participating museums every day. When you step in, you enjoy a fully catered day package in the museum. Visit museumplusbus.nl for more information.

Do I need to buy my ticket with time slot in advance online?
Yes. With a time lock, your visit remains safe and you can be sure that you can visit the museum on the day and time you want. We can also regulate the number of visitors and share practical information with you in advance.

What does my ticket allow me to visit?
Your ticket gives you access to the exhibitions and the permanent collection in Het Noordbrabants Museum. If you’re interested in visiting Design Museum Den Bosch, you will need to purchase a separate ticket at the ticketshop of the Design Museum.

Do I have to print my ticket?
No that is not necessary. You can also scan from your phone or tablet.

I have a ticket but am unable to come. What should I do?

Can I buy a combination ticket for Het Noordbrabants Museum and Design Museum Den Bosch?
Two tickets in one. With a combination ticket you will receive an entrance ticket for Het Noordbrabants Museum and for Design Museum Den Bosch. Unfortunately there are currently no combination tickets available. Would you also like to visit Design Museum Den Bosch? Buy a ticket through the ticket shop of Design Museum Den Bosch.

Can I buy a Netherlands Museum pass in the museum?
Yes, you can do that at the counter. Keep in mind that - in connection with the visiting rules - you must first book a ticket online. For more information about the Netherlands Museum pass, visit museumkaart.nl.

Can I cancel my tickets after purchase?
No, unfortunately purchased tickets cannot be refunded and/or exchanged. Tickets are valid for one year after purchase. You can change your ticket to a different time slot or date. Please contact the Public Service department via +31(0)73-6877 877 or info@hnbm.nl.

Where can I see the Van Goghs?
The artworks of Vincent van Gogh are currently on show in the exhibition Van Gogh in Brabant. There you can find the Peasant Woman Digging and the Collse watermill, among other things.

Can I still see artworks of Hieronymus Bosch?
Hieronymus Bosch is an important artist for our museum. Therefore, we regularly show exhibitions that revolve around the Dutch artist. The exhibition Hieronymus Bosch - Visions of Genius was on show in Het Noordbrabants Museum from 13 February till 8 May 2016. Momentarily, we display a few works of his followers.

What is the history of the museum building?
It is an old government palace that has been inhabited by, among others, Anton Günther von Holstein, governor of Brabant from 1733 to 1744. You can read the complete history of this old city palace here.
